Cambiar views our internal research capabilities to be a primary competitive advantage for the firm. As many companies that are trading at compressed price levels may be deserving of their current valuation, it is the role of the Cambiar investment team to determine if the issues hampering the company are transitory in nature, or the result of more secular developments.  We believe a key strength of our research is the ability to recognize opportunities before they become readily apparent to our peers, as well as the skill to identify companies whose current stock prices are not representative of the company’s true valuation in a more normalized market environment.
